When you connect to your vault, the Obsidian plugin on your desktop:

  1. Renders your notes using Obsidian's native rendering engine
  2. Captures the HTML output including DataView results
  3. Sends your theme CSS so styling is preserved
  4. Streams it to the browser via encrypted WebRTC

This means you see the actual rendered output—not a markdown preview.
